Islam Beats Biology 28 – Nil

Another sad story – there are so many we have become immune to them. But hang on; “so many”? Aren’t these real muslims who follow the koran to the letter just a tiny minority who have misunderstood islam? That’s what we’re told over and over again.

Religion of peace, hijacked by extremists, misunderstood, blah blah. Well this guy who killed his own daughter, only by slitting her throat 28 times (but who’s counting when it’s something cultural) doesn’t look like a hijacking extremist, does he? No beard, no skullcap … only armed to the teeth with a sick ideology that says you should kill your own daughter if she pisses you off.

You see, these people who kill or mutilate their wives and daughters, who stone people to death for having sex, who cut off people’s hands and kill people for writing and drawing, are not a ‘tiny minority who have misunderstood the true meaning’ of their own religion. They are people who follow their religion …religiously, as it were. They are devout. Righteous. Instead of being condemned for their despicable actions, they are praised.

Black is white and white is black in their twisted world. And what’s so amazing is they have taken even their own biology and turned it upside down. For isn’t every human’s strongest urge the urge to live? Isn’t our strongest instinct the survival instinct?

Our human biology is all about life; saving life, enjoying life, the sanctity of life, trying to improve life. If it wasn’t, there probably wouldn’t be humans on earth.

Islam, on the other hand, is all about death. Of sacrificing your life for something nobody can prove exists. Young people are celebrated for blowing themselves up, their families basking in the glory. Children are brought up to think the highest achievement they can ever make, in peace or war, is killing themselves.

It’s deeply embedded in the human biology to nurture and protect the next generation. How else could we have gone from grunting, knuckle-dragging neanderthals to being able to send a photo of ourselves to the other side of the world in one second?

Islam says you should kill your children and be proud of it. The best thing is of course that they kill themselves and take as many infidels with them as possible, but failing that, a little throat-slitting of an uppity daughter will do.

Throughout history from the earliest finds of primitive man, we have seen that it is part of the female (and often male) biology to make oneself beautiful, or at least try to look as good as possible under the circumstances. Our face is our window to the world.

What does islam do? Put women in ugly sacks to de-feminise, dehumanise and demoralise them. (‘Put women in a sack’ isn’t even in the koran, it’s just something those throwbacks to the 7th century desert warrior tribal world have come up to to make women’s lives even more unbearable.)

Don’t tell me it’s okay to kill your own daughter just because you come from a different culture. Killing your own child goes against nature, against everything that is human in us. Therefore the ideology that makes thousands of fathers kill their own daughters every year is unnatural, sick and wrong. And this makes the tacit complicity, open support and excuses-making from educated, civilised people so much harder to understand.
